A QSL card is a confirmation of a contact made. This can be both digital (this I do via eqsl.cc and Logbook of the World) as analogue. And by analogy, I mean paper. These cards can sometimes make a whole world trip before I receive them.
I am a member of a club (VERON) and this club and the other Dutch club VRZA have some sort of “post office” from which all the paper cards are sent to the other “post offices” elsewhere in the world. Where the cards are handed over to the radio operator. The process is a little more complicated than I write it here. But in general, this is what happened to the card.
Currently [July 22, 2015] I have:
– 110 qso’s made with 30 countries
